Hi, my name is Brynne! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control. I knew it was my lucky day and I’ve been soaking up all the love and attention I get from the volunteers, and now in my wonderful foster home! I’m looking forward to finding my furever home soon!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met larger dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and growled and avoided them when they came close to me. When I was with my foster, I seemed fearful of dogs smaller than me, but liked to be near dogs around my size, after we spent a little time getting to know each other. I choose which dogs I like, so if you have a medium size dog at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I met a cat recently at Mostly Mutts and was interested, but respectful. A cat in my temp. foster home even swatted me and I took it in stride. If you have a dog-friendly or dog-tolerant cat at home, let’s meet. / I met kids at Mostly Mutts that were around 10 years old, and I liked them, so if you have kids around that age, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I have a super affectionate personality, and the volunteers describe me as ‘one big love bug’! I may be shy at first, but my foster discovered that I do really well with meeting new people when they have treats for me, then we are good friends. Lots of times, I am either ‘on’ or ‘off’ – running zoomies or snoring away (quite loudly, I might add – lol). Right now – since I am heartworm positive, it is important to keep me calmer until my heartworm treatment is complete. I do look forward to being active and playful when the time comes. I am so sweet, playful and full of ‘wiggly’ happiness when I see my people. A temp. foster said I learned quickly to not use the couch and take a spot on my dog bed next to them. I even respected room boundaries and waited for an invitation to join them. They described me as just “all around a delight!” I’m basically a big sweetheart who wants to be around my people a lot. / My energy level is 5-7, though I must stay calmer throughout my heartworm treatment.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am pretty good at the ‘sit’ command and I am sure you can teach me other commands too – as I LOVE Pup-Peroni for training treats! / I do well in the crate in my foster home. Just some initial barking but I settle down and even go back in when let out at times for a nap. / I have done well with my potty manners on the shelter schedule and in my foster home. No accidents when I am taken out every few hours, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I LOVE getting love from my people. My favorite part of my shelter bath was the toweling off part – all the rubs and pettings just for me! Car rides are so fun! I will stand next to one and look at you expectantly as if to say, ‘Let’s go!’. I also love all kinds of food, cuddles, sleeping on the couch/bed, giving kisses, sitting outside and playing with squeaky toys. / I am unsure of the woods near my foster home and get startled when I hear sounds coming from them. I’m also a bit shy with quick movements and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. Unfortunately, my previous owner did not keep me on a monthly heartworm preventative, so I am heartworm positive. Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of my treatment with their vet, so local adoption only, please.
I’m a darling girl looking for a great home where I will be a much-loved family member! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
