Hi, my name is Felicity! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I sure am happy about that! I’m enjoying the company of the volunteers while I wait to meet my new family – hopefully soon! I got to participate in the prison/foster training program and learned a lot!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: No dogs in my new home please. I met dogs at Mostly Mutts and in the prison/foster training program and was okay until they got close to me, then I was reactive toward them. / Cats unknown. / Kids 15+ please. Although I met kids around age 10 at Mostly Mutts and in my temporary foster home and liked them, I guard toys and am sensitive to some touches on my lower back/rear area. My trainers have worked with me to control this so please ask about my commands.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: The volunteers describe me as such a nice dog! My nature has been sweet, happy, affectionate, smart, and playful. In my temporary foster home I enjoyed running around a little bit with a toy in my mouth, then snoozing quite a bit and snuggling up next to my foster or sometimes right on her lap. Although I am adorable with my toys, I can also be reactive when I have them, so please be aware and ask my trainers about commands to help with this. I really like to be wherever the people are. My temp. foster said I just slept at her feet while she worked from home so I think I’d make a great companion for a stay-at-home or work-from-home family member. I also have a darling prance when I get to go for walks with the nice volunteers. Sounds pretty good, huh? / My energy level is 6 – 8 so I’d like some regular exercise.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. I slept in bed with my temp. foster and she said I was perfect. If she needed to leave the house, she used a baby gate to confine me to a smaller space and I did great with that as well. / My potty manners have been good in the prison/foster training program on a good take-out schedule.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like to soak up affection from the nice volunteers, and belly rubs are just the BEST! I enjoy going for walks and meeting new people and being active with my family. / I don’t like it when people touch my lower back or rear end. I also don’t like to get my ears cleaned. Thunderstorms upset me a bit and I whine during them. I was a bit unsure of and gave a little alert bark at the deer and turkeys that came into my temp. foster’s yard. I didn’t care for a yucky lima bean that fell on the floor. I’m also sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I take an over-the-counter ongoing joint supplement (Cosequin) for some joint inflammation to keep my joints feeling their best.
I am looking for a great home with a loving family for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
