Lightning Bug AKA Max

Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
Secondary Breed: Tabby
Status: Adoptable
A TEENAGE KITTY FRIEND:  10 months old / Medium to larger

Hello there!  My name is Lightning Bug AKA Max!  I was adopted about 7 months ago from MM and now find myself in need of a new home.  My family loved me, but things just didn’t work out.  I’m a very active kitty who didn’t learn not to play with my mouth, so as a teenage kitty, sometimes I use it.  So, I’ll want lots of laser play, wand play etc. and no hand play so I can learn this.  My former family reports that I’m a content and happy kitty 99% of the time and you can help me with that last %.  Since I have bitten family members a couple times, we all feel that I need a fresh start in a new home.

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS:  I got along with my sibling as a kitten, and – though I have not lived with another kitty since then, I may enjoy a kitty friend in my new home as I seem friendly with one that comes by my window each day, so let’s meet / There were no dogs in my home, but I may get along well with a kitty-friendly doggie, if introduced properly, so, let’s meet / There are no children in my home, and it’s probably best to have no small children in my home since I’ve bitten a couple of times, and of course let’s meet.

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION:  Other than the incidence of biting, my family describes me as ‘the sweetest kitty’ – interactive and playful, though not a lap kitty.  I am used to having my moderately long coat brushed daily and seem to like it.  I’m also used to having my nails trimmed a couple times a month.  I am very alert and pounce at the littlest things…a feather, a paper clip, a fleck of dust in the air – lol – so cute!  I am not a big ‘meower’, but I do make a sweet little trill or humming sound to get my people’s attention or wake them in the morning.

• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS:  I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  Though not a super snuggly lap kitty, I do like to be near my people – definitely within arm’s reach for the occasional chin strokes, ear rubs, or a gentle foot massage. I will sometimes bring a crinkle ball to my mom to play ‘fetch’. My favorites though are my feather wand and the laser light, which can REALLY get me moving. I have a little extra weight on me right now, so exercise will do me good to get to a great weight. I enjoy hanging out with my person at home in the kitchen, in the office, etc. I also have a ‘techno kitty’ side and like to play the ‘Mouse for Cats’ app on my person’s iPad / I can’t think of any dislikes, and the reason I bit is a mystery, though we think that lots of play will help and learning that teeth play or to get your attention is not acceptable. I do know I would not be happy if I don’t get the attention I need and deserve.

• MEDICAL:  I’m current on my shots, neutered, microchipped, and combo tested negative.

I am looking for a family that will be as devoted to me as I am to them!  My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
