VERY ENERGETIC & FUN-LOVING:  1 year old / 30 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  I’m out of town and won’t be at adoptions for a short time, so please inquire at 770-272-6888 1st to find out when I’m available to meet.  Hi, my name is Amaya!  I am a snuggly girl with a fun-loving and energetic personality.  I visited a home recently and enjoyed sitting in my person’s lap and listening to the sounds from the TV – tilting my head when a noise got my attention – so cute!  When it comes to playtime, I am ALL in and will play with anything – stuffed toys, balls, a leaf, a stick, a pinecone and even my food and water bowl after mealtime!  I can also entertain myself with toys for a good amount of time.  I however do not want to share any said toys with other dogs, and I did go after the dogs in my temp. foster home over toys.  I enjoyed running around with 2 of the 3 dogs in my foster home, but just didn’t want to share anything.  This may be trainable, but I’m not sure.  So, I may be best as an only dog.  I’m quite vocal when I’m playing with things, so I don’t think an apartment/condo would be a good fit for me.  I have been happy to share my toys with my people though, so I look forward to being in a family with time for play sessions and just being active with me, in general.  I’ve enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have mastered the ‘sit’ command so far.  I’ll be working on my leash manners and lots of other great doggie skills next.  My potty manners are a work-in-progress, and I need to go out frequently, so a stay or work from home family member would be very good for me.  I met a nice 10-year-old boy and his younger sister at the MM shelter, and I was sweet with them, but their movements and general kid activity made me nervous.  A home with kids around 10 (or slightly younger) could be a good fit for me, but let’s take things slow until I realize how much fun kid friends are.  I’m a real go-getter looking for lots of training, fun and exercise in my new home, perhaps with you!  Energy level: 6-8.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
