A REAL PEOPLE DOG: 10 years old / 10 lbs.

Hi, my name is Carson! I found myself at animal control, so Mostly Mutts rescued me and is helping me find a great furever home! Yay!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I’ve liked the other dogs I’ve met since being with Mostly Mutts, though I got annoyed with a young, larger dog who tried to play a little too rough for my liking, so if you have a calmer dog who isn’t necessarily looking for a playmate, let’s meet / I am a bit too interested in the cat in my foster home, so best there not be cats in my new home / I met some kids at the shelter and couldn’t quite tell how I felt about them. I did a little talking and was stoic when they ran, so MM’s recommends kids 15+ and let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a happy, friendly guy who is a real snuggle bug - getting right up to you and giving you a hug or pressing my head to your neck to ask for some lovin’. I am not a super-energetic dog, but I do bond with my person and follow them in the house and yard. I am just a sweet little ol’ man / My energy level is 3-5.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’ command, and I bet you could teach me more great doggie skills. I have pretty good leash manners, too / I have not needed a crate in my foster home / My potty manners have been pretty good in my foster home on a regular schedule. I have done some marking in my foster home (maybe 4-5 times in the first week), but we feel my recent neuter will help with that.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I am a real people dog, and like nothing better than being where the people are. I follow my foster dad around the yard and house pretty closely – just so I am nearby for any petting or scratches that come my way / I can’t think of any dislikes right now, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention on which I thrive!

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. It was discovered and checked out by the vet that I had quite a few benign tumors. (I’m thankful that they are benign!) We decided to leave them be as removing them would be a big surgery for a fellow my age. They don’t seem to bother me so that’s good. Of course, they could grow or cause me some pain in the future, so I may need an anti-inflammatory at some point.

I am looking for home where I can be loved and cherished for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
