Chuck

Gender: Male
Breed: Labrador
Secondary Breed: Shepherd
Status: Adoptable
YOUNG AND ENERGETIC:  1 year old / 60 lbs.

Hi, my name is Chuck!  I am so glad that Mostly Mutts came to get me from animal control.  I am super excited to be a Mostly ‘Mutt’ and am looking forward to finding my furever home! I’m currently going through my heart worm treatment until mid to late November, but I’m still adoptable and available to meet upon request.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met a few other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and didn’t show any aggression to them, I also didn’t play – so if you have another dog, let’s meet and see if we can be friends / Cats unknown / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am as sweet as I am curious and enjoy exploring my surroundings.  I have a playful and friendly nature – sure to win your heart / My energy level is higher at 6-8 but I need to stay calmer until I’ve completed my heart worm treatment (see Medical below).

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’ve enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program and I know the ‘sit’ and ‘down’ commands and proper door etiquette so far.  With my exuberant personality and strength, I currently pull and jump on my leash (and my people), but I am working on good leash skills now / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts / I am doing very well with my potty habits on the shelter schedule.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I am an affectionate young guy and really like hugs and face rubs from my people. You never have to call me to dinner either because I also love food / I am not a fan of baths, so you may want to leash me and close the bathroom door – lol.

• MEDICAL:  Sadly, my previous owner did not keep me on a heartworm preventative, and I am heartworm positive.  Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of my treatment with their vet and I hope to be with my family before my treatment starts.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.

I am looking for an active family with whom I can have adventures and make great memories! (After my HW treatment)  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
