ATTENTIVE AND SWEET: 5 years old / 32 lbs.

Hi! My name’s Dumpling, a loving girl with the cutest wrinkle face! I got to participate in the prison foster/training program where I learned so much—even how to play nicely with other doggies- yay! While I love my current foster dad, I can’t wait to find my furever home!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I did great with the dogs I met in the prison foster/training program & I love to have playdates with them, so let’s meet. The shelter environment was too stressful for me, & I didn’t like being in close proximity to so many other dogs when I first came to MM’s. So, I bit two volunteers over being too stimulated by the other dogs in the room that my crate was in at MM’s. Once I was moved to a private room, I did great with no incidents. / Cats unknown but likely not / I met two kids at Mostly Mutts (ages 7 & 11), & I was a little skittish & flinched a lot. I didn’t show any aggression, but sadly it is clear that I’ve been hit in the past, so a home with older kids (ages 15+) who understand to go slow with me is what I need.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m very sweet & have a social nature that makes me very responsive to people. I just LOVE them! I have the best tail wag when I see them, & it travels all over my body to become a ‘body wag’ – so cute! I’d rather play with my people than toys, but I think I’ll learn how fun they are once I trust you. I may be slightly hesitant at first, so just be patient while I warm up to you, then I bet we can be life-long friends. In the prison foster/training program, it took me 2 days to trust my handlers & a week to trust the other handlers. / Energy level 3-5.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: As a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, I know the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘down’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’, & ‘go to your place’ commands. I also walk nicely on my leash, use proper door etiquette, & accept friendly strangers without jumping. I take treats nicely too, so my continued training should be fun for us both. I don’t bark very often in my foster home. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, & I didn’t need a crate in my foster home. / I’ve had good potty manners on the shelter schedule & in my foster home.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like being where my people are for some love & attention & I love to go for walks. / I’m a little shy to the touch on my rear, so go slow with that, please. (I’m becoming less sensitive to this with time). I’m a relaxed gal, so I don’t think I’d like a household with lots of noise & commotion.

• MEDICAL: I had Entropion surgery, so my eyes feel great now! I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped & spayed.

I’m looking for a great family to provide me with a wonderful home! My adoption fee is $299.00, & I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
