A FUN & ACTIVE YOUNG FELLOW: 1 year old / 36 lbs.

Hello, I’m Finn! I had a home, but my family was not able to give me the exercise or training I needed to be a happy dog so Mostly Mutts is looking for an experienced dog owner that enjoys training and exercising with their dog. I got to spend some time in the prison foster/training program offsite and learned so much! Now I’m ready to find my new family!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I came in with another dog, and we get along well, though our play got a bit rough at times. I just haven’t been able to get along with any dogs I’ve met at MM’s, so we think it’s best that there are NO other dogs in my new home / Cat’s unknown / I met some kids at MM’s and got every excited – I barked, jumped and had a little challenge with my self-control, but not in an aggressive way, just in an overly excited way, so we recommend dog smart kids 15 and older. Also know that I’ll need some training where kids are concerned.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a sweet and enthusiastic guy with a ‘big dog look and energy’ in a compact body. I am very playful and loving and the MM volunteers say that I am a great dog and I like that / My energy level is 6-8, so I look forward to lots of regular opportunities to exercise in my new home.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program and have mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners when using a gentle leader leash. And I accept nice strangers without jumping. I have lunged at dogs while on my walks, but it’s easily redirected, and my trainer can show you how. Best no apartment as it is just too close to so many other dogs. I can be a little bit of a counter surfer, but I’ll learn. Other than that, I’ve been told I have great house manners / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts and my former owner also said they were good / My potty habits have been good at Mostly Mutts, and my previous owner reported that I have good potty habits too.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to play, and I enjoy going to the Mostly Mutts yard play pen for a nice game of fetch, and a soccer type game with a very large ball. A fenced yard where we can play would be nice in my new home. I think I’ll like anything active with my family / I can’t think of any dislikes, but I would not be happy if I did not get the exercise, love, training and attention on which I thrive!

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.
