Freddy Freeman

Gender: Male
Breed: Terrier
Secondary Breed: Mix
Status: Adoptable

A HIGH ENERGY FRIEND: 7 years old / 26 lbs.

Hi there, I’m Freddy Freeman! My namesake is a World Series winner and winner 3 years running of the Silver Slugger award, I hope to be your Silver Slugger forever!! I came to Mostly Mutts with an injury to my private parts but thankfully, Mostly Mutts has helped me by getting the surgery I needed (Scrotal Ablation) and I’m feeling so much better now! Sadly, my former family did not keep me current on heartworm prevention, so I must stay calmer until after I have completed my heartworm treatment. We’ve also discovered that I’m very hard of hearing/possibly deaf.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I’ve met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, but we should meet due to my hearing issues, so let’s meet. / Cats unknown / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no very young kids that I may bump over with my high energy and enthusiasm.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: Now that I’m not in pain any longer, my true nature is shining through. I’m a sweet, strong boy who is happy and playful. I’m itching to be out and about with the volunteers, so much so that I’m a bit mouthy in my play. We also discovered that I seem to be deaf making it a bit harder to communicate with me. / I have a high energy at 7 – 9, so I’ll need a family that will be active with me on a regular basis. I can see myself playing ball with you in the yard, going for long walks or perhaps even hiking or for a run. We can discover what I like to do together after I’ve completed my heartworm treatment.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a new student in the Mostly Mutts University training program and can't wait to learn lots of new things with my trainer! I’m a bit playfully mouthy, so we’ll be working on that as well as the best way to communicate with me due to my hearing loss. / I do pretty well in my crate, but I wouldn’t want to spend a lot of time in it. / My potty manners have been good on the Mostly Mutts schedule.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like treats, playing, toys and mealtime! I eat fast, so a slow feeder bowl could be helpful with that. I also love palling around with the volunteers and just having fun! / I can’t think of any dislikes yet, but I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get the exercise, training, and the love that all dogs deserve.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. Sadly, I wasn't kept on heartworm prevention in my previous home, so I'm HW positive. The good news is that I'll be treated for that in a few months and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with their vet, so local adoption please. I hope to be with my family before treatment starts!

I’m looking for a great family that understands my loss of hearing and will love and have fun with me furever as well as keep me safe! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
