A SWEET OLDER FELLOW:  12 years old / Approx. 19 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I was found by animal control as a stray in terrible condition with my fur all tangled up and covered with fleas and ticks.  I don’t remember how long I was lost, but I sure am glad I was found and am with MM’s and in a great foster home now!  I’m a loving senior guy who is slowly learning to trust again.  I ride well in the car and walk well on my leash – only short walks needed for me, and once I know you, I love being petted and having your hand on me – maybe it’s comforting after being lost, or maybe I just like it cause it’s sweet.  I’m doing well with other gentle dogs in my foster home, so if you have a gentle dog at home, let’s meet.  I’m a bit cautious with new people but I soon warm up to them.  I’m good in my crate and because of my age, I do like taking lots of naps.  I also love to be outside sunning myself a bit, but not when it’s 90 degrees, ya know!  My potty manners are pretty good on a frequent schedule (2 -3 hours), but I’m older and do have the occasional accident if not taken out enough.  I don’t mind wearing a belly band in his foster home, so that could work in my new home too!  I would do best with a stay at home/work from home person, since I need more potty breaks and I love your company.  I only bark occasionally, so that’s been nice for my foster family.  I’m very hesitant when eating and drinking and we’ve found that it must be in a plate not a bowl, so you must be alright with that in my new home.  I’m sweet, gentle and appreciate all you do for me!  So, if you think you would like to share your life with a senior pup, I’m a keeper!  Energy level is 2-4.  A home with much older gentle kids, like 15+ years-old, will be best for me as I’m an older guy and I act skittish around younger kids.  Energy level: 2-4.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $299.00.
