Breed: Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog)
Secondary Breed: Shepherd
Status: Adoptable

A VERY ACTIVE  AND FRIENDLY GUY:  4 years old / 39 lbs.

I was adopted in 2018, but sadly lost my home due to a job change that included a lot of travel.  I went lots of places with my former dad, even stores like Home Depot and Lowes and I was just a great buddy! I’m looking for a dog-savvy family with a good leader who will be very active with me! (about 1.5 hours of exercise a day has been great for me) I do best with clear boundaries, so make sure you are the boss.

•  OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like to play with other dogs and have had many successful playdates at MM’s! I occasionally meet a dog that I just don’t like, so let’s meet / I may be able to live with a kitty, it will just depend on the kitty, ask about this / Older kids (10+), due to some past mouthing behavior and energetic nature.

•  PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m very playful, friendly, sweet, intense at times and a real go getter! / I have a high energy level 7-9.

•  SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, I also earned the distinction of being an American Kennel Club Certified “Canine Good Citizen”!  I’ve mastered ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘lie down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘loose leash walking’, ‘waiting at doors’, ‘rollover’, accepting strangers without jumping, and the ‘leave it’ command which is good if I get excited and a little play mouthy, and I would be happy if you follow that up with a treat/kibble to reinforce my good behavior / The crate’s not my favorite place but at night it’s a good idea / I did great with my potty manners in my former home – just had a few accidents at night, so perhaps crate me at night

•  LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love the great outdoors with my people, really enjoy long walks, running, swimming and I even love riding in a boat! I love toys and even entertain myself with them, car rides, cuddling, ear scratches, agility training, a work from home or stay at home family member / Not getting enough exercise.

•  MEDICAL:   I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.

I’m a great dog looking for a family or person that will be active and have fun with me and continue my training.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
