Pork Chop

Gender: Male
Breed: Bull Dog
Secondary Breed: Mix
Status: Adoptable

A SWEET, HAPPY GOOFBALL:  6 – 7 months old / Currently 43 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  Hi, I’m Pork Chop!  I am a super sweet and snuggly tail wagger who has charmed my foster parents!  They just can’t help but smile when they look at me.  How ‘bout that!  What makes ME smile inside is being with my people. I like to stay near you in the house, and I’m always up for pets and snuggles. I’ll sleep all night next to you, too, if you’ll let me.  I’m not super hyper, but – since I am a puppy, I like and need play time and activity, so please have time to spend with me like walks, playing together and let’s go on some adventures together too.  If I am well exercised, the toy bin and my water bowl won’t likely be knocked over - LOL.  I absolutely love and require toys to ‘busy’ myself, and I play a bit mouthy, though gently.  Being outdoors is lots of fun, so come on and let’s go have some fun in the yard! I really like the dog in my foster home, we play and run around together and then snuggle during naps. I’d really enjoy a doggie friend in my furever home, so if you have a friendly, playful dog, let’s meet to see if we can be pals! A dog friend would also help to comfort me when you aren’t home as I showed signs of separation anxiety in my temp. foster home where I was the only dog. (I was anxious in the crate and escaped and then chewed on the blinds). My foster family has not experienced any behavior like this, and that’s likely because I have my furry foster sisters to keep me company in my regular foster home. I know I need to ‘sit’ for my food or a treat, and since I take treats nicely, my training should be fun for us both. My potty manners have been good in my foster home on a frequent schedule. I still have an occasional accident, though, so please be consistent with me so I can master that skill.  My foster family is impressed with my leash manners, with just a bit of zig zagging and pulling – but not bad at all for a young pup!  I am a pretty quiet, chill guy – though I will give you a high-pitched bark (very cute) if I hear sounds outside.  I’m not quite ready to be left in the house unsupervised, so I do go in my crate a couple hours a day when my foster mom can work and run errands.  I will bark a bit but settle in after a few minutes – especially if I can see her working at the table.  Because I probably bark more when she is not home, an apartment/condo would probably not be a good fit for me. I did great with the young girl in my temp. foster home and am always sweet with the neighborhood kids I encounter on walks, so children old enough to play with me might be nice in my furever home.  Best no small children though, that I may accidently bump over and let’s meet!  Energy level: 5-7.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
