LOOKING FOR A BEST FRIEND: 3 years old / 40 lbs.
Hi, my name is Prancer! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and they could tell I had puppies in the past, but I’ve now been spayed – putting my puppy raising days behind me. Now, I am ready to become a loved family member. I’m currently in the prison foster/training program offsite and learning so much!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: Let’s meet. I came in with another dog and I play well with two of the other Mutts in the prison program, but I can play vocally at times which not all dogs like. I also met a couple of dogs in my short break foster home and – while we played well together outside, I tried to dominate them when we were inside. If you have a dog let’s meet to make sure we can be friends. / Cats unknown / I’ve met some kids while at Mostly Mutts (age 10+), so children around that age or older may be nice in my new home and – of course, let’s meet! I was not fond of kids riding bikes in the parking lot near me, just so you are aware of that.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a very sweet, energetic, and playful young girl with lots of love to offer my new family. I have a fun, friendly and confident demeanor, which is sure to make for some great memories in my new home. I am also very social and am happiest when spending time with my people and being very active with them. I’m curious and interested in everything! / My energy level is 7-9, so I am looking for a family that wants to include their dog in on all the fun and exercise with them.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: As a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, I’ve proven to be smart and very trainable, and I’ve quickly learned the following commands: ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, and ‘leave it’ as well as proper door etiquette and accepting friendly stranger without jumping. I bet you can teach me even more – including polishing my leash skills, as I tend to jump, pull, and lunge at cars while on my leash right now, so please keep a good hold / I don’t love the crate, but I don’t make a fuss once I am in it. I’d just rather be with you / My potty manners have been good on the prison program schedule.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to play - especially with my people. I can become mouthy during playtime due to my enthusiasm, but I’m working on this with my trainer. I also love treats so my continued training should be lots of fun. In the short break foster home I visited, I really loved running around in the fenced back yard while they looked on and spent time with me outside / Sudden noises startle me and – aside from the issue with some other dogs and bike riders mentioned above, I can’t think of any other dislikes right now, though I am sure I would not be happy if I did not get the love, exercise, training and attention on which I thrive!
• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.
I am looking for an active family to have lots of adventures with and who will love me furever! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
