A HANDSOME YOUNG FELLOW:  2 years old / 16 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm. Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week. Hello! I’m not certain as to how I got my name, but just know that YOU will always be on my radar! I am quick to attach to my person & would like a dog savvy family as I have shown some guarding tendencies when I’m being held & another person (especially men) or dog approaches. This is a very trainable trait as I want to please you & respond well to your leadership & correction.  I’ve just enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program & my trainer is working with me on this already! I’m shy at the MM facility as it’s a bit overwhelming for me, but I got to go home with one of the volunteers for a few days & she said that I quickly made myself at home.  I enjoy fun walks but the whole leash thing is new to me, so I’m still learning how to walk & NOT trip my person! Aside from walks, my favorite times of the day are when I get fed. I eat very quickly & can be a bit aggressive if other animals are eating near me, so I should be fed separate, like in a crate. A puzzle bowl is good to help me slow down too. Other than eating in it, I do not like the crate at all & will quickly let you know how unhappy I am being left in it, so best no apartment/condo. My temp foster left me out for several hours at a time when she was away from home, & I have behaved perfectly. I had a couple of accidents at my foster’s because I am still learning, though because I’m so young, I should master potty training quickly with a good consistent schedule. I showed improvement in just a few days!  There were two dogs & a cat in the home, & I started a scuffle with one of the dogs & got a little too interested in the kitty cat, so I wouldn’t mind a bit if you don’t have other animals at your house.  If you do, you’ll need to monitor us & not leave us unattended until you know for sure that we will get along. When I misbehaved or snarled at them, my foster quickly reminded me that that behavior isn’t acceptable. As I said, I’m young and VERY trainable, so I hope to quickly master good pet behavior with some consistent training/instruction at home. (Ask for help with this) I’m a smart & silly boy & eager to learn to please. I like all kinds of toys, though bones & antlers are my favorites. My foster laughed at me when I stood on my hind legs (for a long time!) at meal time & when I played with toys - I like to stay busy!  Due to my guarding behaviors, MM’s recommends no kids. Energy level: 5-7. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered, & my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar & leash.
