Rock Hudson

Gender: Male
Breed: Chihuahua
Secondary Breed: Dachshund
Status: Adoptable

A VERY FRIENDLY LITTLE GUY:  6 years old / 9.5 lbs.   Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  Hi!  I’m Rock Hudson!  I am super thankful to be with the kind folks at Mostly Mutts as I was rescued from an unsafe situation.  I am super friendly and love every person that I have met so far.  I’m always ready for some loving and to offer kisses in return.  I am not really interested in toys as I’d just rather hang out with you.  As a new student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, I’m going to be learning lots of great things – including polishing up on my leash manners, as I pull a bit and have been known to bolt through open gates and doors.  I am a smart guy who already knows the ‘sit’ and ‘come’ commands, so check back soon to see my progress!  My potty manners are a work in progress with a few accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me so I can master those skills.  I came to Mostly Mutts with another dog whom I like (she has since been adopted), but I didn’t like all the dogs I met at the MM facility, and I went after some of them. Maybe not the best idea since I weigh less than 10 lbs., but this can be typical of my breed. Perhaps I just need time to warm up to a doggie friend, so if you have a nice, easygoing doggie at home, let’s meet to see if we can be friends. I met a nice 10-year-old boy and his younger sister at the MM shelter and did great with them, so a home with kids around 10 (or a little younger) could be a good fit for me. Let’s meet and best no very young kids who may fall on me since I am small.  Energy level: 5-7.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
