SWEET, SMART & LOOKING FOR LOVE: 4 years old / 35 lbs.

Hello there! My name’s Rosey! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control – heartworm positive. Mostly Mutts has committed to helping me recover from my heartworms and find a great family to love, so I am very grateful to be in their program!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, though I do guard my toys and food, so I’m not sure how I would do with sharing these things with other dogs, we would need to meet and be tested together / Cats unknown / I met some kids recently at Mostly Mutts, and when they ran, I was not happy – showing my teeth and barking. I also resource guard and can get snippy when my tennis ball or food is taken, so best no kids in my new home.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a super sweet girl who is friendly with the volunteers, though I can become moody when people take my food or tennis balls, and my trainer is working with me to become more comfortable with people around my things. Otherwise, the volunteers describe me as a pretty easy-going pup / My energy level is 6-8, though I must stay calmer until after my heartworm treatment is completed.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a smart gal who is learning lots of great commands as a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program. I have already mastered ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’ and ‘drop it’. I am also polishing up on my leash manners (I tend to pull strongly on my walks), as well as learning to share my stuff with my people without complaining / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts / I’ve had good potty habits on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like to play and love my tennis balls – perhaps a little too much (see above about resource guarding). I am food motivated and smart, so my trainer is helping me learn that food and toys are okay to share / Other than not wanting to share my stuff right now, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all dogies deserve!

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. Unfortunately, my previous owner did not keep me on a monthly heartworm preventative, so I am heartworm positive. Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of the treatment with their vet, so local adoption only, please.

I am looking for a loving family to give me a wonderful home! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
