Gender: Female
Breed: Labrador
Secondary Breed: Shepherd
Status: Adoptable

A WONDERFUL PAL:  2 years old / 45 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  Hi, I’m Star!  Things sure are looking up for me as I’ve been released to regular activity now and that just makes me smile and jump for joy!!  When I arrived at MM’s from animal control I had been hit by a car, so there was road rash and a broken shoulder that I had to recover from.  Done!  It was boring in my crate so much, but I got through it with the love of the volunteers, my trainer, and some hard bones and chew toys.  I’ve been enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program, even during my recovery time, so I’ve already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’, and ‘go to your place’ commands as well as loose leash walking and waiting at doors before going in/out on command. Stay tuned for updates on everything else I’m learning – a broken shoulder didn’t stop this Star from shining!  I am a young lady with lots of puppy energy, so make sure you are ready for an enthusiastic doggie friend that will need continued training and exercise.  My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too.  I like the dogs I’ve met at MM’s, so let’s meet if you have a nice doggie at home. I also met a nice 10-year-old boy and his younger sister at the shelter, and we had a great time together, so a home with kids around 10 (or possibly a little younger) would be fun. Best no very young children as I am very mouthy and jumpy, and I will need you to work with me on this. Energy level: 6-8.  Now that I’m off my crate rest, I can’t wait to run and play again… hopefully with YOU!  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
