A LITTLE ‘PEOPLE PLEASER’: 7 years old / 10.5 lbs. and needs to lose several pounds.

Hello – I’m Sunisa! I was being turned in to animal control on the day Mostly Mutts was there to rescue dogs and help them find new homes. How fortunate for me, as they took me with them too, and now I’m spending time in a wonderful foster home on my way to finding a loving furever home!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: Though I came in with another dog who has already been adopted, I’d like it best if I could be your only dog. I met a few dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I didn’t like them. However, I have met a couple of dogs at my foster home and can visit with them if given several hours and a proper introduction to warm up. I prefer quieter senior dogs only who won’t bother me / Cats unknown / I met a 10 and 7-year-old at Mostly Mutts, and I did well them. In my foster home, I love cuddling up next to the nice 6-year old boy who visits—I even gave him kisses! So, if you have kids around that age let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: The volunteers say I am a really cute ‘lovey dovey’ – always happy to give kisses in exchange for pets and cuddles. I have a super friendly personality and seem to like everyone I meet. My foster also says I’m super sweet and easy to care for . . . gotta love a low maintenance girl! / My energy level is 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: While staying at the shelter, I was a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I learned lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I’ve mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘come’ commands as well as how to accept friendly strangers without jumping on them. / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts. In my foster home, I sleep well in my crate at night, and during the day if needed / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule and in my foster home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too. At times I walk on my front legs when I tinkle – I’m a silly girl – talented too!

• LIKES/DISLIKES: In my foster home, I love to sleep on comfy blankets all day. I love hugs and being with people of all ages and am sure to bring lots of smiles and love to my new family / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention on which I thrive!

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have a grade 3 luxating patella which is common in a lot of little dogs. I’m taking Cosequin for joint health. I do get tear stains as many lightly colored dogs do, but you can purchase over-the-counter stain products and give them a try with me. I’m recovering from hernia surgery and doing well.

I am looking for a loving home where I will be welcomed as a treasured family member! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
