Status: Adoptable

‘CLASSIC CARTOON’ THEMED MOMMA! - 5 years old / Approx. 45 lbs.

Hi, I’m Betty Boop! I came to Mostly Mutts very pregnant & heartworm positive, so I am super grateful to have been rescued. I had my puppies & they have found their furever homes! Now, it’s my turn to find my home & live the good life!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I have liked dogs in the past but have recently had a few scuffles with a dog in my temp foster home. It may have been that I was overwhelmed or stressed from having my puppies leave for their new homes. I did better with the dogs I recently met at Mostly Mutts, but still seemed scared & nervous around them, so best no dogs for now. / Cats Unknown / I met a nice 10-year-old boy & a girl slightly younger at Mostly Mutts & did well with them, so kids around 10 (or slightly younger) in my new home could be fun, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a sweet, cuddly & very friendly tail wagger who will give my paws to my people & do a happy little dance with them – so cute! I want to be with my people a lot & wouldn’t do well if you were gone all day for work, etc. I have some anxiety & bark if left too much so an apartment is likely not a good fit for me / My energy level is currently 3-5, but that may increase a little bit once I settle in my new home.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m now a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I have already passed ‘sit’ & I walk well on my leash but usually slowly, as I don’t seem to need much outdoor time / I do not like being in my crate & have barked for long periods of time when in a crate or behind a gate in my temp foster home & at the MM shelter, as I really just like being with my people / My potty habits are a work in progress, as I am having accidents on the shelter schedule. In my temp foster home, I used pee pads successfully overnight, & I did my business outside when taken out, so I’ll just need my new family to continue to be consistent with me so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: In my foster home I loved squeaky toys, chew bones & antlers. My favorite place to hang out is next to my people, & I love all the cuddles that come my way / Other than a dislike of other dogs, I was a bit tentative towards men in my temp foster home, but my trainer is a man, & we are getting along great, so – if you are a man- let’s meet to see if we are a good fit. I also didn’t like being restrained by the vet. I would not be happy if I didn’t get the attention & love on which I thrive.

• MEDICAL: Currently, I am on an anxiety medication for shelter anxiety. I may be able to be weaned off of it in a home. Time will tell. Sadly, I wasn't kept on Heart Worm prevention in my previous home, so I'm HW positive. The good news is that I'll be treated for that soon, & Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with their vet. I hope to be with my family before treatment starts! I’m current on vaccinations, micro-chipped & spayed.

I am looking for a loving family to make me a cherished family member for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, & I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
