AN ATTENTION LOVING BOY:  7 years old / 34 lbs.
Hi, my name is Bixby!  Boy, was it ever my lucky day when Mostly Mutts came for me at animal control!  They say they are going to find me a furever home, which sounds great to me!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I’ve met some dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, and I get along with the dogs in my foster home, so let’s meet / Cats unknown / I met a nice 10-year-old boy and his younger sister at Mostly Mutts and did well with them, so kids around 10 (or slightly younger) in my new home could be fun, let’s meet!
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a very loving, inquisitive and gentle guy with a friendly and super sweet personality. My foster mom says I have a curious, excited, and joyful nature much like that of a puppy, despite my 7 years of age.  My curiosity keeps my nose to the ground on my walks, so I hope we can explore lots of places on our walks / My energy level is 5-7.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I have already learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, and ‘drop it’ commands and I listen when my foster mom tells me to ‘leave it’ when I start sniffing around the trashcans. My leash skills are good, and I do best on a short leash. I’ve learned to sit at the door to get leashed up for a walk, but please still use caution around doors as I’ve been known to bolt in my excitement for an outdoor adventure. I’m smart and I learn quickly, so I bet you can teach me much more! / My crate manners were good at Mostly Mutts, but I get very antsy and agitated in the crate in my foster home and I’ve learned to escape from it. My foster family has found that I do best outside of the crate when they aren’t home, and they quietly leave through the garage after giving me a peanut butter stuffed Kong to distract me. When they check on me using the camera, I’m usually lounging in my favorite chair, and I haven’t chewed up anything I shouldn’t. At night I sleep in my dog bed in the bedroom. / My potty manners have been good in my foster home.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like toys, but nothing beats being with my people! I am an affectionate guy who enjoys attention and petting from my people, and I like to be by your side to keep you company and see what you’re up to. I load nicely in a car, so let’s go some fun places together. My foster family took me to a dog-friendly restaurant and I was a very good boy, calmly watching the people and other dogs walk by and not trying to steal anyone’s food. / I would not like if I did not receive the love and attention that I thrive on.
• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.
I am looking for a caring family to provide me with a loving furever home and include me in the family fun!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
