A CALM YET PLAYFUL FRIEND: 4 years old / 43 lbs.
Hi, my name is Bonsai! I was at animal control when Mostly Mutts came to visit and took me with them. I sure am thankful for that as I needed entropion surgery on both of my eye lids. That’s been done for me now and I’m healing up well.
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, but I do stare at them when I’m on my walks – it doesn’t seem to be in a good way. I’ll be dog tested soon. / Cats unknown / I also haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a super sweet, playful and friendly pup who charms the volunteers who come to care for me. I have a pretty calm nature and am affectionate with my people / My energy level is 3-5 right now, but that may increase when I am settled in my new home and my eyelids fully recover.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program, and so far, I know the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘down’, ‘leave it’, and ‘go to your place’ commands. I also have nice leash manners and take treats gently. I look forward to learning even more! / I do well in my crate at Mostly Mutts / My potty habits are good on the schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like toys and especially balls, so let’s play fetch! Getting petting, ear rubs and attention are the keys to making me happy, so make time for your new best friend. / I am not a fan of sudden movements, as it makes me nervous, so I hope you have a calm nature that matches mine.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I had entropion surgery in October, so my eyes feel so much better now!
