Casey

Gender: Female
Breed: Chihuahua
Status: Adoptable
WANTING TO LOVE & BE LOVED:  5 years old / 9 lbs.

Hi, I’m Casey! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and it’s clear that I was bred – a lot! I have not received the good care I deserve until now, but things are looking better for me since being rescued! I’m currently going through my heart worm treatment and won’t be at adoptions until mid to late November. I’m still available for adoption during that time, and you can inquire about me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I came in with another dog that I liked and also get along with the dog in my foster home, though we do not play. So, if you have a nice doggie that is not looking for a playmate, let’s meet / Cats unknown / I haven’t officially met kids yet but I’m little and currently quite afraid of people, so I think only older and very calm kids would work for me. Let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  Though pretty scared and shut down at the shelter, I’m glad to now be in a foster home where I’m learning to trust people more. I’m still cautious and shy in most situations as I settle in, but It’s been great for me and really has helped my loving nature start to slowly come out, as I get comfortable in a new home environment / My energy level is low right now (2-4) but will likely increase as I gain more confidence and become comfortable with people.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I have good leash manners / My crate manners have been good at MM’s and in my foster home, where they keep my crate open for me to come and go as I please. I sleep through the night on a comfy dog bed there / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, as well as in my foster home, where I have not had accidents when taken out regularly.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I really want to be loved, so I like gentle people who will provide me with lots of tender, loving care and will be patient as I settle in to my new home / Since I am sensitive to my environment, I would not like a home with lots of noise and commotion, or with lots of people coming and going a good bit of the time.

• MEDICAL:  Sadly, I am heartworm positive, but Mostly Mutts will provide my heartworm treatment with one of their vets in October. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.

I am looking for a loving family who will provide a calm home for me and love me a lot.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
