A GENTLE COMPANION AWAITS YOU: 9 years old / 55 lbs. and needs to gain a little more weight.

Hello, my name is Conner. When I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, I was in rough shape – very thin, with infected skin and fur loss - from long term neglect. With great vet care and lots of love in my foster home, I have already gained over 10 lbs. and my fur is coming back in. I still have a way to go, though I am filling out and healing more each day – ready to meet my new family!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: There are two friendly dogs in my foster home who greeted me nicely when I arrived and – though I was initially scared, I have come out of my shell and get along famously with both now. So, if you have a nice gentle doggie at home already, let’s meet / Cat’s unknown / I met kids once in my foster home, and I did enjoy them. They were very sweet and gentle with me and I with them. I was especially fond of the little girl wanting to spend lots of time with her. They were 6 and 8 years old - so calm children this age or older could be a good fit in my new home, let’s meet and see!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My foster describes me as the ‘epitome of a Velcro dog… but in a good way’. I respond to love and kindness and want to be with my people. I am a curious guy who always wants to know what my people are up to. I even brave the vacuum cleaner to follow my foster mom as she vacuums. She says it is as if I am watching over her. I wait patiently as she goes up and down the stairs to let me outside. So sweet! I have such a kind nature; my foster says that whoever adopts me is going to be very happy. How about that! / My energy level is 3-5.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am well-behaved, and I will come when my foster mom calls me. She is working on other commands with me, and – since I take treats graciously and gently - I bet you can too / I don’t need a crate in my foster home, as my doggie bed is my safe place / I have good potty habits in my foster home – giving signals like pacing around and going to the door when I need a potty break. I also understand the phrase ‘gotta go potty?”

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy being out in the yard with my people and like to explore and wander around (though I am always keeping my foster mom in sight) / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I need a few minutes to get used to new folks. I have suffered from neglect in the past, so I would not be happy if I did not get the love, good care and attention all doggies deserve!

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am continuing medicated baths 2/week to help my skin heal and my fur to continue to grow back in and these can be done in my new home.

I am looking to add lots of love to my new home with a wonderful family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
