Cordelia

Gender: Female
Breed: Dachshund
Status: Adoptable

A SNUGGLY SWEETHEART: 10 years old / 8.5 lbs.

Hello, my name is Cordelia! I'm a sweet lady who sadly lived my whole life as a breeder dog. Now that I'm older and no longer valuable to the breeder, I have to go. Thankfully, Mostly Mutts came to my rescue and will help me find a loving home to live the rest of my days in luxury, love and comfort! Perhaps with YOU!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I came in with other doxies from the same situation as myself, and I absolutely love their company. I coexist well with the other dogs in my foster home, but my Doxie friends and I are a fun, happy crew. We all seem more confident and active when we are together. Maybe you would like to multiply the Doxie love in your family and take us home? It is not necessary that we be adopted together of course, but - it would be a blast / Cats unknown (though my foster thinks my temperament would be fine with a dog-friendly kitty), so…let's meet / I've not met kids while with Mostly Mutts, but gentle children in my new home may be alright with me. Best no toddlers or small children that may fall on me, and – of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My foster describes me as a 'happy go lucky' girl whose happiness shows through my ever-wagging tail. When I visit the vet, the staff makes a huge fuss over me over. Yes, my personality is just that adorable! I am snuggly and sweet - with my people and Doxie friends, alike / My energy level is 3-5, so I'm pretty chill.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I don't know any specific commands, but you can work on some with me if you like / I don’t care to be in a crate by myself, as it seems to cause me stress / I was not potty trained in my former life situation so I need you to help me polish my potty manners, as I don’t consistently use potty pads or do my business outside, so there have been accidents. Please continue to be patient with me on a good, consistent schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like to snuggle and will find a spot with my people or in a doggie bed, which I currently share with my doggie friends. I love following my foster mom all around and I enjoyed being brushed while I was at the shelter, too / I can’t think of any real dislikes right now, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention on which I thrive!

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have a cleft palate and no teeth, so my tongue hangs out a lot so my foster feeds me small dog kibble with a little no salt chicken broth and occasionally some shredded chicken as a treat. Yum! I had some mammary masses removed and a large hernia repaired as well. I still have some cysts and old lady lumps and bumps that don't bother me, and I hope you won't mind.

I am looking for a loving family to give me a great furever home! My adoption fee $299.00, & I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
