SWEETNESS AND LOVE:  3 years old / 27 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  Hi, I’m Denise!  When I came to Mostly Mutts, I was very afraid, but it’s amazing what proper love and attention can for a dog’s demeanor.  I’m slowly gaining more confidence, as the volunteers show me more and more love.  Now, my whole-body wiggles in a shy but very sweet way when I see someone coming to spend time with me.  I pull on my leash and am much more comfortable and relaxed when running around in the play yards with my people.  A nice fenced yard would allow us to do just that! A fenced yard would also help me to master my potty skills as my temporary foster family has learned that I prefer to do my business in the fenced yard rather than on the leash (a girl needs some privacy!) My potty manners have been great in my temp. foster home since they realized this, with an occasional accident, and a frequent schedule helps too. Please continue to be consistent with me, so I can master my potty skills. My loving nature is evident when I lean into you for some snuggles and then thank you with sweet kisses.  Your lap is always calling my name, so let me settle in there from time to time for some cuddle time with you, please.  I love people more than toys, as I know that is where all the affection comes from.  I have already shown everyone how smart I am, since I know the ‘sit’ command and take treats nicely.  I will be working on lots of new things with my trainer in the Mostly Mutts University training program where I have just enrolled. I met a few dogs at the MM facility and in my temp. foster home, and I liked them. I’m still learning how to play, but it looks like fun, so if you have a nice doggie at home who could help me finish learning how to play, let’s meet to see if we can be friends! In fact, another doggie in the home for me to learn from would really benefit me and help me gain confidence. I don’t like when the other dog in my temp. foster home comes near my food, though, so please feed us separately until you know my habits. I’ve developed a habit of eating my poo, but an inexpensive tablet called Stool No in my food should help curb this urge as it will make these snacks taste terrible. Children in my new home may be nice, though I haven’t met kids yet, and only adults and much older teens should walk me, since I am strong on my leash and I don’t want to get lost.  Also, best no toddlers that I may accidently bump over, and I can be a little mouthy (but easily redirected).  Come experience my sweetness for yourself!  Energy level:  4-6. (may increase when I am settled in my new home).  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
