Geena

Gender: Female
Breed: Plott Hound
Secondary Breed: Mix
Status: Adoptable

HAPPY AND ENTHUSIASTIC:  2 years old / 41 lbs.  I'm currently going through my heart-worm treatment so won't be at adoptions until early to mid-February.  I'm still available for adoption during that time and you can inquire about me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  Hi there!  My name is Geena!  I am a super friendly girl who loves everyone I’ve met so far and is looking for a family that will be active with me after I’ve completed my HW treatment! For now, we can just snuggle. I’ve been told I’m an excellent snuggler! I love all types of chew toys and hard bones are my favorite. Make sure to get the tough, durable type as I love to chew, so anything less is no match for me! I need a bit of training to learn not to be mouthy with my people while I play.  I don’t mean to “bite the hand that pets me”, but I am just so excited to be getting attention, but I’m learning and it’s improving.  I have a feeling that I’ll finish learning this quickly once I settle into my new home and know that I am with my furever family. I’m also learning lots of great new skills as a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program. I’ve already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’, and ‘leave it’ commands, and I can’t wait to learn even more!  Since I can’t be very physically active yet, I would love to try out some thinking type dog toys to entertain me and make me think hard which can help with my energy level.  I think because I’m a bit bored from having to stay calm – I’ve chewed on a few things like my doggie blanket, sox and my leash.  It’s hard when you’re an active natured girl like me who must stay calm during treatment.  Boring!   I’m great for baths and you can even do it in the shower if you like.  I’m very curious, so I need you to help me learn that things on the counter are not for me. That shouldn’t be too difficult as I’m eager to please and I take correction well. My potty manners have been great in my foster home, and I have good leash manners too. I’ve met some other great dogs at MM’s and liked them as well as the 2 in my foster home.  I was also at animal control with another dog, and we were pals, so if you have a playful dog at home let’s meet to see if we can be great friends too. I met the Mostly Mutts shelter kitty and I was respectful of her, so a home with a kitty cat friend could be nice, let’s meet! Take time to train me and help me find outlets for my energy, and I will reward you with great companionship and great kisses.  Is that a deal?  I sure hope so!  I met a few kids at the MM shelter, so if there are kids in my new home, they should be older teens (ages 15 and up) due to my energy level, and because I’m still mouthy and jumpy.  Energy level: 7-9 once I’ve wrapped up my HW treatment!   I’m counting down the days! I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
