Gender: Male
Breed: Silky Terrier
Secondary Breed: Mix
Status: Adoptable

A BUNDLE OF FUN ENERGY:  5 years old / 18 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  Hi, my name is Grant!  I am a happy and energetic guy who is ready to be your playful friend!  I hope you have toys at your house, because I absolutely love to play with them. Let’s play fetch! (Though the ‘Grant version’ involves me trading one toy with you for another rather than bringing it back for you to throw – hehe.)  I especially like plush toys, but they are all pretty wonderful.  I bark with excitement and am a pretty rough and tumble player.  When I am not playing, I enjoy laying next to my people and just relaxing.  As a new student in Mostly Mutts University, I am learning great doggie skills with my trainer, so check back here to see my progress.  My leash manners are good, so let’s build walk time into our day as I do have a lot of energy and walks will be great for that.  I have had good potty manners on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home.  I do pretty well in my crate, though I will make some noise while in there, so an apartment/condo may not be a good environment for me.  I met a few dogs at the shelter, and I didn’t like when they approached my kennel, but I was alright with them outside of my kennel. I wasn't interested in playing though.  So, if you have a nice doggie at home let’s make sure to meet and see if we can be friends.  Basically, I am a sweet and very active guy who will thrive on your attention and be a great new family member.  I’m looking for a home with no kids as I showed some guarding behaviors when kids approached in my temporary foster home and nipping at kids while at the MM facility.  Energy level: 7-9.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
