A SWEET, CALM GAL: 3 Years old / 54 lbs. and needs to gain some weight

Hi, my name is Hope! I didn’t have the best life before coming to Mostly Mutts. I was living outside, very underweight and heartworm positive. Now, I am a part of the Mostly Mutts family, enjoying the good care and attention I’m receiving and ready to start a great new life with a loving family!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown / I recently met children at Mostly Mutts (age 10+) and liked them, so kids around that age may be nice in my new home. Best no toddlers or small children that I may bump over, and – of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a very sweet, happy, and friendly girl with a calm nature so far – even showing my good manners during my bath. I’m a people dog, and I heard the volunteers say I was ‘just lovely’ – that makes me happy! I am loving and affectionate – sure to bring lots of joy to my new, lucky family. / My energy level is currently 4-6, it may increase a bit as I gain the weight I need to.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am now a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I’ve been showing off my good leash manners, and well as having mastered the ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ commands. I can’t wait to learn even more! Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I didn’t learn potty manners in my previous situation, so I’m having some accidents on the shelter schedule. I’ll need you to help me with my potty skills, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master these.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like being with people and soaking up affection – especially those awesome belly rubs – my favorite! Spending time as the Front Desk assistant is a job I take seriously – greeting visitors with my sweet demeanor. I’m more interested in petting than toys, but maybe you can show me how much fun toys can be. I do love treats, so my continued training should be fun – and yummy! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training and I never want to have to live outside again!

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m temporarily eating a special food to help my tummy stay settled since I likely had not been eating healthy food prior to coming to MM’s. Mostly Mutts does not think that I’ll need to stay on it long term. Unfortunately, my previous owner did not keep me on a monthly heartworm preventative, so I am heartworm positive. Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of my treatment with their vet, so local adoption only, please.

I am looking for a loving family to provide a wonderful lifetime home for me! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
