A FUN & HAPPY NATURED PUP: 7 months old / Currently 33 lbs.

I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control along with my siblings and I’m in a great foster home, learning, growing, and having fun! I’m now ready to find a family of my very own! I’m looking for a family with a stay/work from home family member as I do need to be taken out to the potty more than some other dogs due to a congenital kidney defect. I’m a typical happy young dog and don’t know that there’s anything wrong with me at all, so I want to be treated like a normal fun dog! I’ll likely have a shortened lifespan, but I want it to be great for as long as I have.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I just love playing with and palling around with the dogs in my foster home so, if you have a dog already that would enjoy a friend, let’s meet! / I have been well-behaved with the kitty in my foster home. I’ve been curious, but am easily corrected when I follow them, and there has been no chasing. If you have a dog-friendly (or dog- tolerant) kitty, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I haven’t been around young kids, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My foster reports that I’m a great pup who will make a wonderful companion. I’m lovable, huggable, and sweet! I have a ‘happy-go-lucky’ nature and have shown myself to be a pretty smart girl, too – though my strong will may require your patience as you continue to train me. Playful, very active and fun – I am sure to bring lots of love to my new family. / My energy level is approximately 6 – 8.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog. So far, I know the ‘sit’, and ‘down’ commands and will give a nice ‘shake’ and know the ‘go to your crate’ command. I’m treat motivated, so I bet you can teach me lots more. / I sleep in my crate at night and go in willingly. I do like a treat reward when I go in it, please. / Due to my kidney defect, I am taken out every 2 to 3 hours during the day and my water is managed/limited to what works best for my kidneys so I don’t have to tinkle all the time. My foster will be happy to talk to you about this. I have been going to the door or whining in my crate to signal that I need to go potty, so I’m learning this!

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love spending time with people getting attention, playing, being gently hugged and rubbed all over. Balls and toys are great fun for fetching – though it is more like a game of ‘keep away’ right now – lol. / Other than the loud vacuum (what is THAT thing all about?), I can’t think of things I don’t like, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on my immunizations, micro-chipped and spayed. I eat a special Science Diet dog food to help with my kidneys.

If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a young pup as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
