A HANDSOME FELLOW:  4 years old / 50 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  Hi, I’m Jagger!   The volunteers describe me as super sweet, though I can be a bit wary of new folks at first.  Just go slow with me and give me a chance to trust you, as I really want to love and be a great companion.  Once I warm up to you, I am friendly and affectionate – freely giving kisses.  A game of fetch is always fun, but be careful of my re-grip, as I may unintentionally pinch some skin or a finger with my enthusiasm to keep the ball. I met a nice 10-year-old boy and his younger sister at the MM shelter and did well with them, though I was a little hyper and jumped around a bit due to my excitement. If you have kids around that age (10 or slightly younger) who would enjoy a big silly dog friend, let’s meet! Just remember to use caution when playing fetch since I do re-grip the ball. I’ve just enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program, and I’ve proven to be a star student as I’ve already learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, and ‘leave it’ commands and proper door etiquette. Check back soon for updates on everything else I’m learning! My leash manners are pretty good and I enjoy my walks, but don’t like going back in my crate afterwards.  Let’s face it…I would rather be with you.    I have a beautiful black coat, though I came to Mostly Mutts with some bald spots on my face/head and on my neck.  These are from wounds that are healing nicely.  I met some dogs at MM’s and liked them, though I am mouthy when I play, so if you have a friendly, playful doggie at home who won’t mind my mouthy style of play, then let’s meet to see if we can be pals! My potty manners are good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my furever home.  Sadly, I wasn't kept on Heart Worm prevention in my previous home, so I'm HW positive. The good news is that I'll be treated for that in a few months and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with one of their vets.  I hope to be with my family before treatment starts!  Energy level: Currently 3-5 (likely a little higher after my HW treatment is completed).  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
