Joie

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd
Secondary Breed: Basenji
Status: Adoptable

A FUN & VERY BUSY PUPPY:  5 – 6 months old / Currently 30 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  Hi, my name is Joie!  I am ‘all puppy’ – playful, energetic and ready to have fun!  I am also quite the love bug and enjoy snuggling on the laps of my people so they can pet my beautiful, soft coat.  I came to Mostly Mutts with an old leg injury that has healed, but not quite correctly, but it doesn’t slow me down and I use my leg for balance.  Just ask for more details if you are interested in making me a part of your family.  My playful nature comes with some mouthiness and rough play, but – I am a puppy and learning lots of things as a new student in the Mostly Mutts University training program.  Leash manners, learning basic commands (‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘leave it’, etc.) as well as how to play and take treats gently are some of the things on my ‘to do’ list with my trainer, so check back soon to see what I have learned.  I’ll need my new family to continue with lots of puppy training so I’ll grow up and be a great adult dog that both you and I can be proud of!  My potty manners are a work in progress with some accidents, so please be consistent with me so I can master my potty skills.  I’ve met some other dogs at MM’s and liked playing with them, so if you have a fun and playful dog at home, let’s meet!  I haven’t met kids yet, so if you have children, let’s meet to see if we are a good match as a family and remember I’m a puppy who needs training and still uses my mouth, so best no toddlers.  I also wouldn’t want them to fall on me either.  Energy level:  Currently 7-9.  I'm spayed, micro-chipped and current on my immunizations.  My adoption fee is $299.00 and includes a Martingale collar, leash and engraved name tag too!
