LEARNING ABOUT LOVE FOR THE FIRST TIME! - 3 years old / Medium

I’m one lucky dog! The founder of Ride to Rescue saw a need for rescuing dogs that are living in rural situations without the medical care and human love that all dogs need! So, he went to work with the community, and I am one of those dogs that is now safe and on the road to a brand-new journey and life!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I enjoy the company of the dogs in my foster home and love our play sessions in the yard with them and my people / I like the cats in my foster home, as well – so – with proper introduction – I may live just fine with a kitty friend, let’s meet / I’ve not been around children yet, so if you have calm and perhaps a little older kids, so let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My personality is still emerging, as I am getting used to the attention of and interaction with people – which is new to me. I am still quite shy, but each day finds me becoming more comfortable with touch and receiving affection. I am growing more playful with toys in my foster home, as well / My energy level is currently a 3-5, but that may increase as I settle into my new home and gain even more confidence.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: My foster describes me as a smart, quick learner - as I have learned the ’sit’ command, will come when you whistle for me and have good leash manners on my walks. I am learning more about being a family dog every day / My crate manners are good in my foster home, as I hang out there when my foster is away and sleep there at night / My potty manners have been good in my foster home on a schedule.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like my toys and like to chew, so be sure to have chew toys like nyla bones handy for me, so I won’t chew YOUR things. I like going for walks with my people though I’m sure I will be nervous at first in a new walking environment. Though it scared me at first, I am riding better in the car as I get more comfortable – again, everything is new to me! I am gradually learning that living in a great home is better than living and fending for myself on the streets, which had been my sad situation for my entire young life prior to coming to MM’s / I wouldn’t like a loud or very busy home as I do best in a calmer environment. Also, I wouldn’t like being rushed to do new things or people who were not patient and understanding of my situation.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.

I am looking for a loving and patient family that will continue to guide me into being a trusting and loving family member! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
