AN ENERGETIC AND LOVING GIRL:  2 years old / 47 lbs.

Hi, my name is Lucille! I’m a very active dog looking for a high energy family that will be very active with me and will include me in on all the family fun!!! I had a home, but I wasn’t the right energy level for the family, so Mostly Mutts is looking for a new home for me.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I want to be your only dog as I am dog reactive / No cats, per my former owner / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts but I did live with teens in a former home and loved them, so teens and up could be a good match for me - let’s meet! Also, kids should not walk me due to my strength and reaction to other dogs.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a playful, enthusiastic, very energetic, and a sweet dog. I am also quite affectionate and think of myself as a lap dog – wanting to be close to my people for some affection and love. I’d like a fenced yard where I can play ball with my people and run around / Energy level: 8-10 so I’ll need lots of regular exercise.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, and I know ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘down’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’, ‘go to your place’, proper door etiquette, and accepting friendly strangers without jumping. I also walk nicely on my leash as long as you know how to properly walk a dog and a gentle leader leash helps me remember to let you walk me - and not vice versa. Keep a good hold of my leash around cars and other dogs as I may try to go after them. I’m a very smart girl, so naturally I learned some cool tricks for extra credit – ‘spin’, ‘shake’, ‘kiss’, ‘stand’, ‘bang bang’, and ‘whisper’! I also know ‘leave it’ with treats on my paws, so I’m learning patience / My crate manners are pretty good though at the shelter, I bark when I hear the room door open but stop once I see the nice volunteers who have come to care for me. My former family also said that I was crate trained / I have good potty manners both on the shelter schedule and in my former home.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I like being active with all the nice volunteers and trainers at MM’s. I enjoy playing with toys and a good game of fetch or find the ball with a tennis ball is great fun! I can also see myself going for hikes and maybe even some runs with my people. Perhaps agility training would be fun too! I also love cuddling with my people at night and sleeping near them if allowed / I will not be happy if I don’t get regular exercise and the love and attention I deserve.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m trying a medication for anxiety right now but am not sure if I’ll need to stay on it in my new home once I settle in and get my exercise needs met on a regular basis.

I am looking for an active and loving family to give me a great home! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
