A SWEET YOUNG GIRL:  2 years old / 31 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  Hi, I’m Maddie!  I can’t tell you much about my life before being rescued by Mostly Mutts, but it’s clear that I have spent most of it outdoors.  I arrived at the shelter very timid, but I’ve come to realize that I love people and am learning about indoor life too!  I will come to you to be petted and loved on pretty quickly after I meet you.  I will just need your patience and love as I adjust to being an inside family member.  Common household noises may startle me for a while, as I am just not used to them.  Once I get used to ‘the good life’, I should be fine – it will just take some time and loving patience from my people.  It would be best if my new home has a fenced backyard where I can roam with you often while I am adjusting to the indoors.  I’ve met other dogs at MM’s and really liked them, so a confident and friendly doggie in my new home could be wonderful in helping me adjust, so if you have one, let’s meet!   As comfortable as I am outdoors, cars do startle me, so be sure you have a good hold on my leash when we venture from home.  My leash manners are pretty good, so maybe nice walks can be part of our routine.  I am a playful gal who is interested in balls, and love to play in the outdoor play yards with the volunteers who care for me.  I’m also enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program, and I’ve already mastered the ‘come’, ‘sit’, and ‘down’ commands. I’m working on lots of other new doggie skills, so stay tuned to hear what I’m learning!  My energy level right now is about a 5, but the volunteers who care for me suspect it will be 6-8, once I adjust to my new life.   I recently met a young child and was gentle with him, so kids around 10 and up could be a good fit for me, let’s meet!   Just be cautious around doors and gates as I may try to run out of them.  I’m working on my potty training and will need your help to finish learning this.  I am a sweet doggie looking for a sweet family to love!  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
