A LOVING, FUN GIRL: 1 year old / Currently 21 lbs. and needs to gain a lot of weight

Hello there! My name is Moxie! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and it was pretty clear that my past was not a very good one. I was emaciated, had prior flea bites, hair loss and scabs from previous superficial wounds. Mostly Mutts quickly set to work helping me heal, forget my past and get excited about my future! My best days are definitely ahead of me!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I've not met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, but I am a friendly girl, so I may enjoy another doggie friend in my new home, so - if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet and see if we can be pals / Cats unknown / I met some kids (about age 10) at Mostly Mutts recently, and I enjoyed their company, so kids around that age or a little younger may be nice in my new home. I have typical young pup energy though, so best no small children or toddlers that I may bump over, and - of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a sweet, affectionate girl, and the volunteers who care for me are definitely smitten with my friendly and fun nature. I am playful and have typical pup interactions with my people / My energy level is 6-8, so I would be happiest if my family makes time to be active with me consistently.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am now a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. We are off to a great start, and I have already mastered the 'sit' command. Check back soon to see my progress / My crate manners are good in my little room at the shelter / I am having few potty accidents on the shelter schedule. Just continue to be patient and consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love being with my people and am a great giver of kisses - so sweet! Chasing balls is a favorite past time of mine, so a nice, fenced yard where I can run off some energy with my people would be great / I can’t think of things I don’t like, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on my immunizations, micro-chipped and spayed. I'm getting medicated baths for a while yet, and those can be done in my new home.

I am looking for a wonderful family to cherish me in a loving home! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
