A DARLING LITTLE GUY:  4 years old / 14 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm. Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week. I’m a sweet and snuggly little guy (once we know each other well) who loves curling up in blankets and playing with toys. I came to MM’s through a nice vet tech that has been caring for me since I lost my home. I have severe arthritis in my hind legs and when first rescued, could only walk on my front legs. My foster mom did physical therapy with me which helped so much and I’m now on an anti-inflammatory medication and walking on all fours like a regular doggie! I must stay on anti-inflammatory and pain medications for life! My foster calls me precious and loves me a lot! I still have some pain in my back legs, but it’s coming along and as long as I’m not bothered there, I do very well. So, much older teens who understand my situation would likely be best for me and let’s meet! I’m doing well with my potty manners in my foster home and am crate trained there too. There are several dogs and cats in my foster home and though I generally get along with them, I’m looking for a home with perhaps only one other pet, or I could be your only pet which I would enjoy. I get jealous of the other pets and would love more one-on-one time with my people. I take an anti-anxiety medication and I am on a few other medications/supplements to help me be more comfortable, so just ask about those please. I know the commands for ‘sit’ and ‘go potty’ and you can teach me even more! I can’t wait to find my new family to love and be loved by, perhaps it’s you? I did bite my foster mom once, but I didn’t mean too – it was when she was placing my back on the ground and my arthritic leg got caught in her pocket. I felt bad about it and didn’t mean to do that, but it really hurt so I reacted. I went into a new home and wasn’t settled in yet and wasn’t given my pain and anti-inflammatory medications that I must stay on, so I had some incidents there. I think that could have had a lot to do with my behavior. I bit when I was sleepy and didn’t want to be bothered, had a bone taken away, and if I just didn’t want to do something. I don’t do these things in my regular foster home, so it’s important that I get my medication and please give me some time to settle into my new home to trust and know you. Energy level: 4-6. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered, and my adoption fee has already been paid by my foster mom.
