Phil

Gender: Male
Breed: Hound
Secondary Breed: Mix
Status: Adoptable

A FUN-LOVING GUY: 7 – 8 months old / Currently 32 lbs.

Hi there! My name is Phil! I found myself as a young pup at animal control and was so happy when Mostly Mutts came to rescue me. I’m being well-cared for at the shelter and hope to find my new home soon – maybe that is with YOU?!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I’ve recently met dogs at Mostly Mutts and did well with them except for the small yippy types, so if you have a dog around my size, let’s meet! / No cats for me as I did not like the kitty I met at the shelter! / I met a nice boy and girl around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and loved them, so kids around 10 (or slightly younger) in my new home could be a good fit, let's meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am an active hound with a fun, sweet personality that is sure to charm you! I’m playful and eager to share love with people. I’m also described as super happy and friendly with a very waggy tail. My tail has an old, healed crooked break in it that makes it wag in a constant circle. When I see the nice volunteers coming to spend time with me, I wag it vigorously – so cute! / My energy level is 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am now a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I’ve mastered several commands: ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’ and ‘leave it’, and will be learning more soon, so check back and see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I absolutely love toys and enjoy play sessions with the volunteers, so I know I will enjoy them with you too! Tennis balls are one of my favorites, so toss them for me, please. I also enjoy relaxing and love to soak up all the snuggles and cuddles that come my way. / Other than cats and smaller yippy dogs, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. My tail has an old, healed break that doesn’t bother me, and I hope it won’t bother you either.

I am looking for a home with a loving, furever family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
