A HANDSOME YOUNG FELLOW:  2 years old / 16 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm. Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week. Hello! I’m not certain as to how I got my name, but just know that YOU will always be on my radar! I am quick to attach to my favorite person & would like a small dog savvy family that doesn’t have much company as I have shown some guarding tendencies and have bitten when people approach my favorite person (especially men). This is a trainable trait as I want to please you & respond well to your leadership & correction. I’ve enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program & my trainer is working with me on this already! I’ve also learned the ‘sit’ & ‘leave it’ commands during my studies. I’m shy at the MM facility as it’s a bit overwhelming for me, but I got to go home with one of the volunteers for a few days & she said that I quickly made myself at home.  I enjoy fun walks but the whole leash thing is new to me, so I’m still learning how to walk & NOT trip my person! Aside from walks, my favorite times of the day are when I get fed. I eat very quickly & can be aggressive if another animal approaches or is eating near me.  A puzzle bowl is good to help me slow down too. I do not like the crate & will let you know how unhappy I am being left in it, so best no apartment/condo. My temp foster left me out for several hours at a time when she was away from home, & I have behaved perfectly. I had a couple of accidents at my foster’s though I showed improvement in just a few days! I’d like to be your only dog as I started a scuffle with the dog in my temp. foster home & later, when I met some of the other dogs at MM’s, I didn’t like them either. I growled & lunged at them, showed my teeth, & attempted to bite one of them. I’m not sure about cats as I got a little too interested in the kitty in my temp. foster home, so I wouldn’t mind a bit if you don’t have a kitty at your house either.  If you do, you’ll need to monitor us & not leave us unattended until you know for sure that we will get along. I’m a smart & silly boy who’s eager to learn and please my person. I like all kinds of toys, though bones & antlers are my favorites. My foster laughed at me when I stood on my hind legs (for a long time!) at mealtime & when I played with toys - I like to stay busy!  Due to my guarding behaviors and bites, MM’s recommends no kids. Energy level: 5-7. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered, & my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar & leash.
