LOOKING FOR A NEW LEASE ON LIFE:  4 years old / 44 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption center is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  Hello, I'm Red.  I'm seeking a home where I can be the best dog I can be.  I'll need a strong confident leader that will help me get there.  I’m looking for a quiet home where my people will lead and guide me.  I’m quiet myself, gentle and reserved.  I have not barked yet at the MM’s shelter and I observe all things with caution.  I met a few of the other mutts at the MM facility, and I tolerated them and didn’t show interest in playing, but I also didn’t show any aggression either. So, if you have a confident and friendly dog at home, let’s meet to see if we can be friends.  I like quiet time with my handler at the MM facility and know I’ll enjoy that in my new home too.  I also like slow, quiet, uneventful walks, chin rubs, and a strong leader to guide me through my shyness.  I dislike all noises as they startle me, especially trucks, school buses and motorcycles.  I have good potty manners on the shelter schedule, and I’ll follow well on a leash if you're quiet and confident about our destination.  I startle easily and am wary about sudden noises and movement.  I'm not yet confident but with guidance I can get there.  I'm initially shy and timid but if you show me the world is not bad, I will adapt and venture out into it with you.  Sadly, I wasn't kept on Heart Worm prevention in my previous home, so I'm HW positive.  The good news is that I'll be treated for that in a few months and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with one of their vets.  I hope to be with my family before treatment starts!  Energy level currently: 2-4, but likely a bit higher once I gain confidence and feel safe at home!  I haven’t met kids and don’t know if I should live with them – If you have much older calm kids, let’s meet.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
