LEARNING TO LOVE AGAIN:  3 years old / 10 lbs.
Hi, my name is Sallie!  My former owner turned me in when circumstances led to them not being able to care for me.  That made me sad, but I am certainly happy that Mostly Mutts has stepped in to help me find my ‘happily ever after’ home.   I needed cherry eye surgery and to be spayed, so those things have been done for me, but I wasn’t able to see a groomer before my surgeries.  Once I’m all healed up you can do that for me, and I’ll look amazing!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I’ve met a few dogs at MM’s and wasn’t too sure about them.  I wasn’t aggressive, but I also didn’t play with them.  My former family reported that I did well with other dogs I had met while with them, so let’s meet / Cats unknown / Right now, I’m a bit nervous at the shelter and may  snap if rushed, so best much older calm and gentle kids that will give me extra time to settle in.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sensitive girl who was really shy with I arrived at MM’s, but I’m coming around as the volunteers are being loving and patient with me which is really helpful!  As I settle in, my sweet nature is emerging.  My former family said that I liked to ‘talk’, so best no apartment for me / My energy level is currently 3-5 though it may increase once I’m happy and at home with my new family.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’ve just enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning lots of new things!  I already walk pretty well on my leash and I take treats nicely.  Stay tuned for more to come / I have done well in my crate at Mostly Mutts / I am having some accidents on the shelter, so please continue to be consistent with me so I can master my potty skills.
• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like attention and being petted once I feel loved by you.  I’m sure I have more likes and I’ll list them here as the volunteers learn more about me / I do not like to be rushed with new relationships, so please let me come to you and we’ll make friends!
• MEDICAL:  I’ve just had cherry eye surgery, so I’ll need eye medication for a couple weeks, but that can be done in my new home.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.
I am looking for a patient and loving family that will be sensitive to the stress that being turned in has caused me.  TLC is great medicine, and I look forward to settling into my new home!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
