Steamboat Willie

Gender: Male
Breed: Labrador
Secondary Breed: Husky
Status: Adoptable

A FUN LOVING FELLOW-IN-TRAINING: 1.5 years old / 67 lbs.

Hi, my name is Steamboat Willie! I was born into the Mostly Mutts program and adopted as a young pup. Sadly, there were several changes in my family's situation, so I lost my home. Fortunately, Mostly Mutts is helping me find a new family to love and I'm currently in the prison/foster training program. off site and learning a lot!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I've walked nicely with other dogs while on my leash and will officially be meeting dogs for some play sessions very soon. My former owner said I liked all the dogs I met while living with them, so - if you have a nice dog at home, let’s meet / Cats Unknown / I've not met kids at Mostly Mutts yet, but my former owner said I did well with them, so kids in my new home may be nice, though I am a strong and active guy, so older kids could be a good match - no toddlers that I may bump over, and - of course, let's meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was unsure and a bit growly when I first arrived at Mostly Mutts following my return. I have since settled in and warmed up to my new situation. Now, I am known as a fun-loving and respectful guy. I am playful, energetic and looking for a strong leader to help me continue to make progress with my training and my canine manners / My energy level is approx. 6-8.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am now a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program and am excited to be in the prison/foster program, where I am learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I'll be working on my leash skills, as I've not had much leash training yet, so I am a strong puller and should not be walked by children. However, I HAVE already mastered the following commands: 'sit', 'stay', 'place', 'drop it', 'down', 'come' and 'leave it' - a pretty smart pup, I am! Check back to see my progress / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts / I've had good potty manners on a good schedule with no accidents, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home!

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I am exuberant and love to play - I am not rude about it, but I do have a lot of young dog energy, so be ready for my enthusiasm / I can’t think of any dislikes, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love, exercise, training and attention all doggies deserve!

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.

I am looking for a great family to cherish me is a wonderful home! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
