A HAPPY-NATURED FRIEND:  5 years old / 24 lbs.  I'm currently going through my heart worm treatment, so I won't be at adoptions until early July.  I'm still available for adoption during that time and you can inquire about me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I’m a sweet and happy guy who just wants to be loved.  If you enjoy cuddle time and petting your furry friend, you will love my coat and ears – super soft! Give me a nice belly rub, and I will thank you with sweet kisses.  As a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, I am moving to the front of the class, as I already know the ‘sit’, ‘come’, and ‘go to your place’ commands and loose leash walking.  My trainer says I have ‘great focus’, so check back soon to see the other great things I have learned! I also enjoy walks and really like to explore my surroundings when I am out and about, so let’s make time for some nice walks!  They will need to be short walks until I’ve completed my HW treatment. I ride well in the car, so I’d love to join you for some fun, dog-friendly family outings! I will choose people over toys any day, but the volunteers who care for me say I do play some...while waiting for my cuddle time!  LOL  My potty manners are a work in progress with quite a few accidents right now, so continue to be consistent with me, so I can master those skills. I’ve met some other dogs while at MM’s and liked them, so if you have a sweet doggie at home, let’s meet! I also got along well with the two dogs in one of my temporary foster homes. I was calm in my plastic crate in that temp. foster home, but when I stayed in a metal crate, I tried to escape, and my foster family was worried I might injure myself. However, in a different temp. foster home where there were no other dogs (just a kitty and we got along great), I was fine in a metal crate and would go in there on my own to nap. Perhaps I just wanted to be with the other dogs in the first temp. foster home?  So, since I should stay in a crate due to my potty training, it may be best that I stay in a plastic crate rather than a metal crate, especially if there are other dogs in the home. While on my walk recently, I met a young child (about 3 years old) and loved him – he was sweet and adorable and so was I.  I also met a 10 and 7-year-old that I enjoyed.  So, if you have children, let’s meet! Like most dogs, I don’t love baths, but I will tolerate them because I’m a good-natured little guy. Energy level: 4-6 (Remember I need to stay calmer until my HW treatment is complete). I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered, and my adoption fee is $299.00 which also includes an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash.
