A GREAT, ALL-AROUND COMPANION: 4 years old / 66 lbs.
Hi there, I'm Zeke! I was at animal control when Mostly Mutts came to my rescue. I’ve been having a great time with all the nice volunteers while I wait to find my new family - perhaps with YOU!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I should be your only dog as I just do not know how to act around other dogs right now. My trainer is working with me on this, and I played with some of the female mutts recently. I was very loud, though, not in an aggressive way but some dogs may not appreciate my volume. This may change in the future, but for now - no dogs in my new home / Cats unknown / Kids around 15+ could be nice in my new home. I like kids a lot, but don't understand that I'm a big boy so I like to climb on them a bit - oops, I'm just really friendly and goofy! So, if you have kids around that age, let's meet!
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a sweet, affectionate guy who has been well-behaved - just a great all-around pal. My nature is that of an easy-going fellow… even hopping right in and out of the tub for baths without issue. I have quickly become a volunteer favorite who will use my soulful eyes to draw you in for some hugs. I'm a gentle giant who believes he is a lapdog! / My energy level is 6-8 so I’m looking for a family that will be active with me!
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. So far, I have mastered the following commands: 'sit’ (which I do very nicely for treats and to be leashed), ‘leave it’, 'come', 'down', 'drop-it', 'go to your place', and I have ‘nice leash manners’. Check back soon to see what other great things I have learned / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts in a very large crate since I’m a big guy / I’ve had good potty habits on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy giving and receiving affection from my people. Spending time with them is just the best, and I enjoy our walks and interaction. Car rides are fine with me, so maybe we can discover some nice hiking trails or parks together since I have a higher energy level. I also love playing fetch with tennis balls. / I can’t think of any dislikes, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love, training and attention all doggies deserve!
• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I came in with some healing fur loss which seems to be from a flea prevention, and I think I’ll be good!
I am looking for a wonderful home where I am sure to be a great addition! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
