A GREAT LITTLE GUY:  11 years old / 21 lbs.
Hi there! My name is Tommy! I had a home and an owner who loved me but, unfortunately, they began having some serious health problems and could no longer care for me. That makes me sad, but I know Mostly Mutts will help me find a new family to love and to call my own.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I get along fine with the dogs I have met – both in my foster home and reportedly in my previous home, as we pretty much just hang out, not playing with each other, so if you have a nice, calm doggie at home, let’s meet. I do like to eat by myself please and will give a little growl if other dogs approach me while I’m eating / I just ignore the cats in my foster home even though they have tried to get me to play with them / I’ve met a few kids while I was working (more on that later) at the MM Market and liked their kind pets and soft voices, so if you have gentle kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers since I’m an older fellow.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a calm, quiet and pretty content guy who adapted easily to my foster home within a few hours. I was probably an only pup in my previous home so sharing my bed, space, and people with others is not on my favorite list. I will give a little growl to let them know, but I am learning to share the more I am around other doggies. I seek attention from my people and love them. I feel most secure when I can see and be with my humans, especially at first and in unfamiliar places, but as I get into a routine I get more comfortable. I have been volunteering at the Mostly Mutts Thrift Store as the Adoptable Dog Representative where I get to meet lots of people. It's a big responsibility and I have to be on my best behavior at all times. My foster mom says I’m doing a great job. / My energy level is 3-5.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’ command. Since I like treats, you can probably teach me even more! / My foster says I’m comfortable in the crate, as I will lay in it during the day off and on / I did some marking at first in my foster home, but I quickly learned and only had to be told a few times that this was not good boy behavior. Since then my potty habits have been excellent. My former owner said that I had good potty habits, though had recently had some accidents, likely due to the stress of their health issues. So, a little refresher and patience as I transition into a new home will be helpful.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love treats and Bully bones, and I will take your unattended goodies from the table. Hehe! I also like comfy doggie beds for the many naps I like to take. I like to stay close, and I enjoy getting affection from my people. Belly rubs are great, and I think car rides are just fine too. I really like going on walks and walking helps my muscles to stay flexible, but best to keep them short especially in the heat or cold. I like to explore in the yard too. / The only dislikes are the ones listed above related to sharing food, toys, bones and my people with other dogs, but I’m learning that it's ok.

• MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m also taking a joint supplement.

I’m a sweet fellow looking for a wonderful family to love and who will love me furever! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
