A dainty, fluffy, sweet, blond puppy. Dumped at a vet’s office. Rejected, shunned, covered in maggots. Oh, and born without two front legs. Who wanted a puppy with such a disability? Knowing that our Executive Director is passionate about animals who have physical challenges, she saw this as an opportunity to put the capital R in Rescue. After adopting Gracie, she began her rehabilitation with a Lego wheelchair built by the clever son of a volunteer, to give her amazing mobility. This spirited pup now scoots around the house, chasing her playful dog brother, whose back legs are paralyzed. Together, they’re a perfect pair.
