ADOPTING YOUR NEW COMPANION
The Mostly Mutts Difference
When you adopt from Mostly Mutts, we go to great lengths to help ensure that your new pet will be a great fit. Many of our Mutts attend Mostly Mutts University training to identify behavior issues and personality traits, to better match them with potential adopters. Our adoption counselors work tirelessly to match your needs with those of your new pet. And all of our animals have all had a veterinary check-up, been spayed or neutered, are microchipped. And our dogs come with FREE obedience and socialization training. We don't let dogs interact except in one puppy class. And many have attended our in-house training program, Mostly Mutts University.

Our adoption approval process begins with the completion of an adoption survey, which can be accessed below
A survey can be completed on our website before you find your ideal family pet. We will then keep an adoption survey on file for six months. You will typically hear from one of our adoption counselors within 24 to 48 hours after submitting your survey.
We pride ourselves in making every effort to match the right pet to the right home, therefore, our adoption process is very thorough, and will include an interview with one of our adoption counselors. Our goal is to make sure that you are comfortable with the pet you choose and that our dogs and cats are going to live in a home best suited to their needs and personalities.
Information required to complete your survey
- Contact information for all adult members of your household since they must provide their agreement to adopt
- Two personal references, whom we can contact. Please make your references aware in advance that you have provided their contact information, so that they are prepared to hear from us
- If you currently own a pet, or have owned pets in the recent past, we require your veterinarian’s contact information.
