ANASTASIA

When we rescued this quiet girl, we had no idea that Anastasia had suffered hearing loss. In fact, she was indeed deaf. This presented a challenge that we were ready to embrace. Our resourceful trainer developed an effective way to communicate with her, using hand signals and before long, Anastasia could sit, stay, lay down, come, etc. We knew that she would make a great pet, but needed someone who would understand her hearing impairment. Miraculously, young couple whose wife is also deaf, came forward and knew that this was the right dog for them. Anastasia couldn’t have asked for a more empathetic family, who knows how to communicate with their dog in their own special way.
