CHANCE

Chance was a broken dog in body and spirit. When found by animal control, this fragile boy had been either severely abused or hit by a car. He suffered bruises and fractures, including his jaw, and his damaged leg almost required amputation. So terrified, he risked jaw pain to bite out of fear and agony. Our hearts told us that Chance needed just that- a chance. Surgery and a clamp stabilized his shattered jaw, while the leg that he almost lost got stronger, and was saved. As his injured body continued to heal, with the help of a nurturing foster mom, Chance regained his trust in humans. Special rescues like Chance reaffirm that we will never give up hope on the helpless furry victims that others have left behind.
