Hello there – I’m Dagwood! I was rescued from animal control by Mostly Mutts several months ago, along with my friend Blondie. I’m so happy for her, because she was adopted soon afterwards. My journey has been a bit different. I began losing weight and had a big decrease in my kitten energy. It reached a point where my foster was feeding me nutrients four times a day, just to keep me at a stable weight. I’ve earned the name ‘miracle kitty’ as I made an amazing recovery, gotten a clean bill of health and am now a happy healthy kitten – ready to find my new home!
• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: I’ve gotten along well with all the kitties I’ve met thus far and am now hanging out with my roomies in the Kitty Aquarium! I may enjoy another kitty in my home, so if you have a nice kitty at home already, let’s meet! / Dogs unknown / In my original foster home, I tended to run away from very young, fast-moving children, and my current foster agrees that I would probably do best in a calmer home with older, calmer kids, and of course, let’s meet!
• PERSONALITY INFORMATION: I’m a super sweet guy who – though not really a lap kitty – wants to be near you — but only if you pretend I’m not there. Lol. I’m really good at finding secret spots, especially under soft sheets or cozy blankets — that’s kind of my thing. I feel safest when I have places to call my own, and I’d do best in a quiet home without small humans. I’m playful and not shy about ‘talking’ to you when my food or water bowl needs attention. I’ll purr my appreciation while settled in near you for some love and affection – the perfect calm roommate.
• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy my space and like to observe from afar and make sure things are safe before I venture out. Let me come to you on my terms and perhaps there is a snuggle session in our future? I enjoy exploring my surroundings and will settle into my favorite spot — often beside you or on your shoulder. My favorite toys during a fun play session are pipe cleaners, springs and any toy I can bat around. I’m sure to bring a smile to your face with my kitty antics. I’ll roll over and show you my tummy, but don’t fall for it! It is a ploy to grab your hand – lol. / I would not be happy in a home with lots of commotion. A quiet home is best for me, please.
• MEDICAL: I’m up-to-date on my kitten shots, microchipped and neutered.
