Hello there – I’m Dagwood! I was rescued from animal control by Mostly Mutts, along with my friend Blondie. Since then, we’ve been having a great time in our foster home where we are soaking up all the love and attention. Now, it is time for us to continue the good life in homes of our very own. I’m excited to meet my new family!
• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: I get along very well with the kitten who shares my foster home! I may enjoy another kitty in my home, so if you have a nice kitty at home already, let’s meet! / Dogs unknown / I tend to run away from children in my foster home and would probably do best in a calmer home with older, calmer kids, and of course, let’s meet!
• PERSONALITY INFORMATION: I’m a little nervous around new people and may need time to feel comfortable and warm up in my new home. I want to be near you — really, I do — but only if you pretend I’m not there. Lol. If you try to pick me up before I am ready, I’ll probably vanish faster than a shadow at noon. I’m really good at finding secret spots, especially under soft sheets or cozy blankets — that’s kind of my thing. I feel safest when I have places to hide, and I’d do best in a quiet home without small humans. I might peek out to watch you from a safe distance, and maybe one day I’ll sit nearby. I’m currently a kitten who loves my space, and if you respect that, maybe we can be quiet, calm roommates.
• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy my space and like to observe from afar and make sure things are safe before I venture out. Let me come to you on my terms and perhaps there is a snuggle session in our future? I enjoy exploring my surroundings and will settle into my favorite spot — often near you … but not on you. Lol. / I would not be happy in a home with lots of commotion. A quiet home is best for me, please.
• MEDICAL: I’ve started my kitten shots, but you must finish those for me as I grow. I am microchipped. I'm not yet neutered due to my small size, but it is required and will be done as soon as I grow a little more. Mostly Mutts will cover that cost with one of their approved vets in the North Metro Atlanta area, so local adoptions only.
