Have a behavior problem or want to get your puppy off to a good start? You’ve come to the right place. At Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue, we put a big emphasis on training. Not only do our adoptable dogs receive in-house training, but we offer affordable training classes to the general public. Our goal is to build great relationships between dogs and their owners and to prevent the number of dogs being re-homed due to behavior problems. Our classes are conducted by experienced trainers who have worked with dogs of all temperaments, breeds and sizes.

CLASSES FOR PUPPIES 4 MONTHS TO 1 YEAR OLD
PUPPY TRAINING CLASS | $99
Four-week puppy course.
For puppies 4 months to 1 year old.
Mondays | 6:15 – 7:15 pm | Register
Fridays | 6:00 – 7:00 pm | Register
This introductory class will teach you proper socialization and basic commands to use with your puppy. We will also address puppy challenges such as potty training, chewing, teething, and jumping.
Note: Space is limited to 6 dogs.
CLASSES FOR DOGS 1 YEAR OLD +
ADULT BASIC OBEDIENCE CLASS - LEVEL 1 | $99

This basic training class teaches you how to properly communicate with your dog and learn sit, stay, down, come, place, leave it, drop it, and leash walking. We will also discuss unwanted behaviors such as digging and jumping.

ADULT BASIC OBEDIENCE CLASS - LEVEL 2 | $99

This advanced training class builds on the foundation your dog already has, strengthens core obedience skills, with the main focus being on adding distance, duration, and distractions. Each week introduces new challenges to help your dog stay focused and responsive in real-world situations, with the goal to improve communication, deepen your bond and support confident and calm behavior in your dog.

REACTIVITY CLASS | $99

Third & Final Group Class Will Begin at 11 am
This hands-on class introduces you and your dog to Managing Dog Reactivity. We will identify the root causes and techniques to address the reactivity. Owners and their Dogs will learn techniques to manage their dog’s behavior in the presence of people, kids, animals, and vehicles while enhancing the Owner-Dog relationship. The goal is to have your dog in public situations without reacting to people, kids, animals, and vehicles.
ENRICHMENT CLASS | $99
Four-week training program. Prerequisites: Puppy Class, Adult Basic Obedience L1 or Higher.

This Enrichment Class is a four-week adventure designed to strengthen your bond with your dog through fun stimulating activities the whole family can enjoy! We’ll explore Scent Work, how to make homemade puzzle games, Family Game Night, Beginner Agility & More! This class is perfect for dogs & their people who want to have fun, build teamwork, & create joyful learning experiences together. Please note: Family Game Night on Week 3 is most fun with 2 attendees.

REQUIREMENTS
- Signed Liability Release.
- Completed Questionnaire to help us learn about your dog’s needs.
- Retractable leashes are not allowed.
- Dogs must be current on age-appropriate vaccinations.
- Dogs over 6 months must be spayed or neutered.
- Well-behaved children 7 years and older are welcome to attend classes.
- Bring treats for your own dog for training. Should be high value. We recommend Pupperoni sticks (cut into small 1/4”pieces).
